Introduction

Thank you for contacting me. I put this proposal together based on our conversations.

Here are a few quick observations:

  • Margaret Cruz wants to refresh the landscape designs around the public library and picnic areas.
  • William Brown will create a unique landscape design that preserves the existing trees and structures, but adds new walkways, shrubs, and flower beds.
  • The existing irrigation system will be mapped and suggestions for improving the irrigation and adapting it to the new landscape will be included.

As you continue through this proposal, you will see how my landscape design services can help you meet your goals and your deadlines.

Why William Brown for landscape design services?

My landscape designs have been featured in local government sites, new commercial areas, and the recently built Riverdale Shopping Center. My designs have won awards for their pleasing layouts and environmental sensitivity.

Here are some testimonials from previous clients:

  • William Brown was great to work with. They quickly identified our design needs and created an attractive plan. The extra effort to produce scale drawings, irrigation plans, and environmental impact assessments was superb value. -Jill, CEO of Business
  • William Brown is a brilliant professional. They created a design that served our needs and planned every aspect of the installation. -Tim, Sales Director of Local Business

My clients value my professionalism, commitment to deadlines, and the results I give them.

Project description

Based on your information, Margaret Cruz needs to have a design plan in place for the library and picnic spaces prior to September. The months of September and October are the best for carrying out the landscape installation. With this goal in mind, site visits will be carried out during July. The landscape design will be proposed during the first two weeks of August. During the remainder of August, alterations and amendments can be made so the plans are complete and ready for work at the right time.

I deliver award-winning landscape designs for my clients. My designs won four significant awards last year and we look forward to more awards to come. Your site could be the next award winner.

Objectives

Here is the plan for how my landscape design services will meet your goals. Let me break down the specific targets and how they will be met.

  • Site visits will be carried out to assess the environmental and irrigation needs of the site.
  • The local plant and tree species will receive first consideration for planting and incorporation into the new design.
  • Any relevant ordinances and planning permissions will be noted. An extra fee will be charged for filing these on behalf of Margaret Cruz.

Any adjustments to the plans can be made by sending me a message via the Slack channel or by email at william.brown@gmail.com.

Deadline and deliverables

I am committed to meeting your deadlines and delivering quality business work on schedule. Here are the milestones for this project:

  • Site visits will be carried out during the month of July. Existing structures and irrigation systems will be noted.
  • An initial design will be delivered by the second week of August.
  • An environmental assessment will accompany the design.
  • Once the design has been approved, a materials, plants, and irrigation purchase list will be created.

My services have a reputation for organization, follow through, and prompt delivery. I take pride in this reputation and look forward to delivering exceptional results for Margaret Cruz.

Payment terms

Projects such as this one run for several months before they finish. To facilitate these projects, I offer a schedule of payments. Here are the payment milestones:

  • 25% initial payment due upon signing the contract and before any work begins.
  • A further 25% of the total will be invoiced once the site visits have been carried out.
  • The next 25% of the total will be due once the final design has been approved.
  • Payment of the remaining 25% will be due two weeks after the design has been approved, or held as a deposit if you hire me for the installation. Installation charges will be governed by a separate contract and invoices.

Electronic invoices will be sent once the contract has been signed and milestones passed. Each invoice is payable within 10 business days of receipt. Late payments may result in suspension of work and/or late fees as specified in the contract.

Agreement

Once you agree to this proposal, I will prepare a simple contract for this project. The contract will reference the terms of this proposal, including any amendments you suggest. If you agree to these terms, please sign below, and return this proposal to me.

Thank you very much. I look forward to working with you.

Landscape Design Proposal Template FAQ

What is a landscape design proposal template?

A landscape design proposal template is a preformatted document that is ready to develop into a complete proposal. It contains sections about your business, your offer, and the reasons you are the best choice. You can complete the template by adding specific information about the project you would like to bid for.

Why should I create a landscape design proposal template?

A landscape design proposal template will save you time and ensure your documents have a consistent look and feel. When you are ready to develop a proposal for a new event, a preformatted proposal will save you time spent adding information you use repeatedly. Developing a template also means your documents will always include your logo, branding, and company colors.

How do I write a landscape design proposal template?

Creating a template is a simple process. Here are the basic steps:

  1. Launch your preferred editor, such as MS Word, Google Docs, or another choice.
  2. Add your company information and branding.
  3. Insert as many blank sections as you need, leaving space for data entry later.
  4. Make your template attractive with nice visual elements.
  5. Save your work as a template file or a generic file you can use again.

What should be in a landscape design proposal template?

Every proposal should have some common sections, including these:

  • Company logo, branding, and contact information
  • Project overview
  • Scope of work
  • Timeline
  • Services or product breakdown with quantities and prices
  • Total project cost
  • Terms and conditions

Landscape design proposals also need to include the landscape design format you will deliver, a materials and plants list, and a statement about the timeline being affected by weather or other events beyond your control.

Besides these, you can include a cover letter, customer references, and a page about your company or services.
